Synopsis:
Years after escaping a dictated life, four estranged and offbeat sisters are forced to come together to find their suddenly missing father. In their secret searching journey, secrets are revealed and more. Zainab wakes up to a shocking discovery that could defame her in the neighbourhood. She quickly calls for her sister’s aid. Yet, fiery Amal has her own secret struggle and doesn’t get along with her sister Samah, who is too busy to be there. Meanwhile Khitam tries to focus on her own mission
Director’s Biography:
Zaid Abu Hamdan holds an MFA from the New York Film Academy in Hollywood and BA in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University. In 2009, Abu Hamdan founded Zaha Productions, producing six award-winning short films to date. His film Bahiya & Mahmoud was the first Arab short film to qualify for an Oscar nomination in 2012 winning Best of Fest Award at the Palm Springs International Shortfest, and has now developed into a TV series. In television, he directed, produced, and developed a wide range of content in Los Angeles and the Gulf. Since 2016, Zaid was commissioned as the Lead Creative Consultant and Mentor at Image Nation’s Arab Film Studio Program in Abu Dhabi. In 2021, Abu Hamdan started touring the international film festival circuit with his debut feature film “Daughters of Abdulrahman. His second feature film script “Boomah” won the grand prize at the 2021 Red Sea Film Festival Lodge competition.
